7 Tips for Decluttering Winter Coats
- Assess Your Collection: Start by taking stock of all your winter coats. Lay them out on your bed or hang them in a visible space. This will give you a clear visual of your collection, making it easier to identify duplicates, worn-out items, or pieces you no longer wear.
- Seasonal Evaluation: Consider the climate in your region and assess whether each coat is suitable for the prevailing weather conditions. If you have coats that are too heavy or too light for your typical winter, it might be time to donate or store them elsewhere until needed.
- Check for Wear and Tear: Inspect each coat for signs of wear and tear, such as missing buttons, broken zippers, or frayed seams. If a coat is damaged beyond repair, it’s best to part ways with it. For items that can be fixed, set them aside for repairs before incorporating them back into your wardrobe.

Also, check out these 5 Important Guidelines I use to to keep me focused and motivated as I begin the process of getting my home decluttered.
A few guidelines to keep you on task:
1.Only spend time on your specific daily task.
2.Do not get side-tracked or distracted.
3.Work within a time of day that you have the most energy and stamina.
4.Avoid thinking too long about whether to keep or discard an item. Recruit help if you are stuck in the decision process.
5.Avoid cleaning during your declutter. Getting rid of the clutter is your priority. Cleaning can be accomplished later.
