Here are some tips for decluttering your home office to help increase your productivity and improve your mental well-being.

Welcome to the Year Long Thorough Declutter Series! We will be starting decluttering specific tasks. Each day is dedicated to spending only 30 minutes decluttering your specific daily task. We will be working 5 days a week, so you can take 2 days to enjoy time with your loved ones. Today, we’ll look at some tips for decluttering your home office. A few guidelines to keep you on task:
1.Only spend time on your specific daily task.
2.Do not get side-tracked or distracted.
3.Work within a time of day that you have the most energy and stamina.
4.Avoid thinking too long about whether to keep or discard an item. Recruit help if you are stuck in the decision process.
5.Avoid cleaning during your declutter. Getting rid of the clutter is your priority. Cleaning can be accomplished later.

How to Declutter Your Home Office: We are working in the home office this week. Your task today for today, January 29th is to: Declutter any unnecessary medical paper files.
Bonus tip for decluttering your home office: Scan them all with your smart phone into my favorite “paperless” phone app – Evernote. Even if you plan to keep some important documents, this a great way to keep those items stored digitally in case of a fire or natural disaster.

Tips for Decluttering Your Home Office for Increased Productivity and Organization
- Start by removing anything that is not related to work: personal items, decorations, and anything else that doesn’t serve a purpose in the office.
- Invest in storage solutions that maximize space. Consider using shelves, drawers, or file cabinets to organize your paperwork and other items.
- Create a designated area for each type of item. For example, have a specific place for your stationery, files, and office supplies. This will make it easier to find what you need when you need it.
- Get rid of duplicates. Keep only the items you use regularly and recycle or donate anything that is no longer needed.
- Use labels to help you keep track of where things belong. This will make it easier to put things back in their proper place after use.
- Create a system for incoming mail and paperwork. Sort through it regularly and take action on what is needed immediately. Store the rest in a file cabinet or bin for later processing.
- Use a digital system to store important documents, receipts, and other paperwork. This will reduce the amount of physical clutter in your office and make it easier to access the information you need.
- Be mindful of what you bring into your office. Only bring in items that you need to work and make sure to remove them after use.
By following these tips for how to declutter your office, you can create a clean and organized home office that supports your work and improves your mental well-being. A decluttered workspace can help increase your focus, creativity, and overall productivity.
